The Higher the Magnification - The More Detail You'll See

Magnification is the ability of your microscope to make small objects seem larger. As the magnification increases the area being viewed will be decrease is size but the detail of the area being viewed will improve.

Amscope microscopes come with multiple magnifications to aid you in finding the proper magnification for viewing each specimen.

Camera Connection Types

When comparing 2.0 and 3.0 there are few major differences. First the transfer rates. USB 2.0 offers transfer rates of 480 Mbps and USB 3.0 offers transfer rates of 4.8 Gbps - that's 10 times faster.

Camera Resolution

The most important factor in ensuring successful microscopic imaging is choosing the appropriate optics and camera for your application that gives you more data and higher image quality. When selecting a microscope camera, it is best to base your decision on the most important requirements for your microscopic observation.

Key Features

  • 40X to 1000X expanded magnification range using high-quality, color-coded objective lenses, and 10X and 25X eyepieces for six unique settings ideal for viewing cellular structures and microorganisms.
  • An economical microscope for students and professionals, the B110 packs high-quality optics and refined mechanics into a compact form.
  • The Siedentopf binocular head has a comfortable 38° incline, can be rotated 360°, and provides interpupillary and dioptric adjustments to suit any user.
  • Students and professionals alike will appreciate the 3-axis mechanical stage with low-position controls, and the coaxial coarse and fine focus for their ergonomics and efficiency.
  • The bright, daylight-balanced LED illumination uses our specialized fly-eye lens for improved uniformity and contrast from both the bottom, for prepared slides, and top for macro subjects such as fossils, rocks, and gemstones.

The B110 binocular compound microscope is designed for teaching demonstrations, clinical examinations, and laboratory applications. It is an ideal beginner microscope for teachers and students, including those in medical school or with a major in biology. It has a number of advancements in functionality compared to other microscopes in its class, such as enhanced LED lighting from both top and bottom angles, Abbe condenser with iris diaphragm, and Siedentopf head adjustments. Use the microscope for studying fixed or live cells, bacteria, plants, and soil, or water samples.

Viewing Head

To customize the microscope to your viewing comfort, the eyepiece spacing can be easily adjusted using a precision Siedentopf mechanism. A diopter is available on the left ocular tube to compensate for asymmetry, and the ocular tubes are angled at 38° to comfortably accommodate a seated position without neck strain. Various eyepieces can be used to increase the overall optical magnification.

Optics

The objective turret provides instant access to 3 magnification levels to focus on minute details from 40X to 1000X easily. Additional 25X eyepieces expand the maximum magnification to 1000X with 6 unique levels. This covers the magnifications needed for studying hair follicles, cells, and bacteria. These high-quality lenses are achromatically corrected to improve resolution and color accuracy.

The Stage

The 2-layer mechanical stage provides smooth and precise movement for the examination of specimen slides. The stage's low-position controls are conveniently placed near the coaxial focus knobs for a streamlined workflow. Examining specimen slides is intuitive and precise for users at any skill level.

Transmitted Illumination

The LED sub-stage lighting provides cool, energy-efficient illumination. The bottom light source is daylight-balanced to produce natural colors for imaging. With our specially developed fly-eye lens, the light is evenly distributed at maximum brightness to improve contrast and resolution. There is also an overhead light that can be switched on by flipping the power switch which allows you to illuminate larger subjects that cannot receive light from below such as fossils, rocks, and gemstones. Illumination is further enhanced by an Abbe condenser with an iris diaphragm, which can be dilated to limit the amount of light your subject receives.
