The Higher the Magnification - The More Detail You'll See

Magnification is the ability of your microscope to make small objects seem larger. As the magnification increases the area being viewed will be decrease is size but the detail of the area being viewed will improve.

Amscope microscopes come with multiple magnifications to aid you in finding the proper magnification for viewing each specimen.

Camera Connection Types

When comparing 2.0 and 3.0 there are few major differences. First the transfer rates. USB 2.0 offers transfer rates of 480 Mbps and USB 3.0 offers transfer rates of 4.8 Gbps - that's 10 times faster.

Camera Resolution

The most important factor in ensuring successful microscopic imaging is choosing the appropriate optics and camera for your application that gives you more data and higher image quality. When selecting a microscope camera, it is best to base your decision on the most important requirements for your microscopic observation.

Key Features

  • 2 levels of stereo magnification from 20X to 40X
  • Top and bottom LED illumination provide incident or transmitted light for a wide variety of opaque and translucent objects.
  • Just as versatile as larger microscopes, it saves space and money while providing sharp, accurate images.
  • The pillar stand provides more flexibility to position the microscope head, including adjusting the height.
  • The digital eyepiece camera lets you view live images on any PC or Mac, with the ability to record photos and videos.
  • Includes an AmScope Exclusive – digital camera software designed for middle and high school students that makes capturing and editing photos and videos easy and fun! Windows and Mac

This binocular stereo microscope comes with two pairs of stereo objective lenses mounted in a rotating nosecone, sturdy all-metal pillar stand, and a versatile illumination system that provides both incident (top) lighting and transmitted (bottom) lighting. You can choose between incident illumination shining down onto the object or transmitted illumination through the frosted stage plate. The first is used for the observation of three-dimensional objects and the second for the observation of slides. This microscope offers high resolution and good depth within a broad field of view. It gives sharp clear stereo images. Its 45 degree inclined binocular head ensures an easy observation and rubber eye-guards provide further comfort.

This model has a forward-oriented head which places the observation stage closer to the user which is typically beneficial for delicate work using soldering or cutting instruments. The ocular tubes can be easily adjusted to properly align with your eyes, and one is equipped with a diopter to compensate for astigmatism.

Two pairs of objective lenses provide 20X and 40X stereo magnification when used with the included 10X eyepieces. This range is intended for common soldering and mechanical repair, and inspecting larger objects. The objective magnification can be changed by simply rotating the nosecone to switch lenses. The viewing head uses 30.5mm ocular tubes to provide an extra-large field-of-view. One ocular tube has an integrated dioptric adjuster for users with astigmatism, or to fine-tune focus when using a camera in place of the eyepiece. The head can be adjusted for any user using rotating binocular adjustment to guarantee proper alignment with the eyes. Various eyepieces are available to expand the magnification range.

This microscope is useful for many applications. It can be used in geology, forestry, archaeology, agriculture, biology and is appropriate for educational purposes in hospitals and schools. It is great for the exploration of the world of surface details and fine structures of various materials like wood, metal, solder, semiconductor and stone. It is perfect for the examination of insects, plants, rocks, stamps, jewel, soldered points, microelectronic components or virtually any three dimensional objects. This scope is an ideal tool for watchmaker, jeweler, engraver, dies-maker, philatelist, students, and etc. It comes with first-class quality and affordable price.

    Amscope stereo mic with camera

Generally pleased with this. Bought for my general interest, and to kindle interest in grand children. Recalled my disappointment as a kid with the 'toy' microscope kits. The stereo mic is much better for them since you can view entire objects, and this is chunkier for small fingers.
Had some concerns obvious lack of a UK 'door to knock on' in the event of probs, weird availability from Amscope UK/ Europe/China, the lack of reviews etc from UK, etc however the supply was fine...arrived a day earlier than indicated from their EU warehouse
Total lack of instructions, not even a ref to the on line manual etc, as well as any basic guidance for use may be a prob if buyer is clueless...but was fine for me.
    It works fine ...
Good for certain prepared slides, whole mounts of bits of bugs.Entire coins, stones, etc. Dead spiders, insects, pond water etc in a dish.
For simple hook up to a screen the usb to a pc and viewing thru the computers camera app (Win 10) works. The supplied software is fine, but the manual needs a 'get you started' section. S/w is fine if you are happy to spend time experimenting with it. Good to be able to record video.
You will need a few blank slides, glass Petri dishes/ similar, tweezers, pots to keep dead bugs, other samples in.
If interest persists I'd have no qualms buying again..maybe with a x100, And maybe a trinoc, since the camera eyepiece obviously makes sighting a bit of a pain. Also a mechanical stage.
