Privacy & Security

AmScope maintains a firm commitment to your privacy. All information provided is considered confidential and intended solely for transaction-related purposes only. We do not sell, rent or trade any customer information, including your email address, to third parties. We recognize that Identity Theft and Spam are growing concerns with our customers, and we will protect any information given to us with the highest degree of integrity and security. We utilize standard SSL encryption when accepting credit card information during the online ordering and all online orders are placed through a secure server.

To further enhance our security measures, no customer information is kept on our website and all credit card numbers are deleted from our accounting system after seven days. The only people who have access to credit card information are the operations manager and those directly responsible for card authorization.

We share other personal information and only that information that is absolutely necessary, with those third parties that are involved in the processing or shipping of your order. This includes the financial institution that processes your credit card and the shipping carrier that delivers your order only.

By purchasing from the AmScope website, if opted in to receive communications, your email address will be added to our AmScope mailing list for purchase-related or promotional emails, including notices of current and upcoming sales. You have the right to unsubscribe at any time by following the instructions in the email. Your email address and purchase history will not be shared with any third party.

Ordering

If you know what to order, please order the item(s) directly online by creating an account, adding the item(s) you’d like to your cart, then checking out.

We offer NET 30 terms to public educational institutions and organizations that we have previously approved within the United Kingdom and European Union. Orders otherwise must be prepaid in full by credit card or bank wire transfer.

To get a quote for an order, international order, or a custom package, please feel free to send us an email. We can ship internationally, however, we only accept payment for international orders via bank wire transfer (wire transfer fee applies).

Payment & Pricing

We accept Paypal payments, major credit cards, and bank transfers for orders within the United Kingdom and European Union.

For outside the European Union, we are only able to accept bank wire transfers as a method of payment.

PayPal Payments - Please make payments online via PayPal.com. Your order will be shipped out within 24-48 hours once payment is made if there are no errors or pending issues.

Credit Cards - Please make payment online via www.amscope.co.uk. 

Bank Transfer (the United Kingdom / European Union / International) – Request a quote from us for an official order amount to remit payment against. Once all details are agreed upon, we can provide our bank information by email to you.

Price Match Guarantee

AmScope is committed to providing you with quality microscopes and accessories at the best prices. However, if you should find the same new product advertised elsewhere for a lower price within 30 days after your purchase, we will gladly match our competitor's price. Please note that eBay auction prices are not eligible (however “Buy It Now” prices are). To request a price match, please email us on our Contact Us page with a direct link to the listing showing the price for verification.

Customs Duties

Customs duties and brokerage fees might be applicable for some countries. All duties and brokerage fees, if any, are the buyers' responsibility. Please contact the Customs Office of your country to find the rate, as we, unfortunately, do not have that information available to us to provide; in our experience, customs duties/taxes are usually around 15-20% of the purchase price. Again, customs fees are never part of the amount customers pay to AmScope and they are paid in addition to the order amount, paid directly to the country you're shipping to. Refusal of an order after it ships will result in the customer's forfeiture of shipping costs, as well as any other financial penalty incurred by the carrier.

Custom Orders

Custom orders that are specially made according to buyers' requirements are accepted only through payment in full prior to manufacturing at our factory. For pricing, please contact us for a quote via email.

Applicable Law, Venue, and Limitation of Actions

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California applicable to agreements made and entirely to be performed within California, without resort to its conflict of law provisions. Regardless of where you access this site, you agree that any action at law or in equity arising out of or relating to these terms and conditions shall be filed and adjudicated only in the federal or state courts located in Orange County, California, and you hereby irrevocably and unconditionally consent and submit to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of such courts over any suit, action or proceeding arising out of these terms and conditions.
