When comparing 2.0 and 3.0 there are few major differences. First the transfer rates. USB 2.0 offers transfer rates of 480 Mbps and USB 3.0 offers transfer rates of 4.8 Gbps - that's 10 times faster.

This is a 60X achromatic objective lens for DIN-standard microscopes. Intended primarily for biological applications, it is designed to work with microscopes using 160mm tube-length and 45mm parfocal distance. Achromatic correction provides improved color accuracy and resolution.

Alternative to oil immersion

I wanted a higher magnification than 40x but without the bother of oil immersion and this filled the gap. I am disappointed though that the Amscope software does not allow you to calibrate this lens. This would be a useful addition to the software

60x Achromatic Objective

Good quality image which is consistent with the 4x, 10x and 40x achromatic objectives that came with my microscope. The 60x is much more convenient to use than the 100x Oil Immersion as there is no cleaning of oil from the objective and specimen slide, so it is easy to go back to the lower powered lenses if you want to. In most cases I find the 60x objective powerful enough for most observations. I would recommend this 60x objective - it is well made, the image quality is very good and is excellent value for money. Well done AmScope and thank you!
