The Higher the Magnification - The More Detail You'll See

Magnification is the ability of your microscope to make small objects seem larger. As the magnification increases the area being viewed will be decrease is size but the detail of the area being viewed will improve.

Amscope microscopes come with multiple magnifications to aid you in finding the proper magnification for viewing each specimen.

Camera Connection Types

When comparing 2.0 and 3.0 there are few major differences. First the transfer rates. USB 2.0 offers transfer rates of 480 Mbps and USB 3.0 offers transfer rates of 4.8 Gbps - that's 10 times faster.

Camera Resolution

The most important factor in ensuring successful microscopic imaging is choosing the appropriate optics and camera for your application that gives you more data and higher image quality. When selecting a microscope camera, it is best to base your decision on the most important requirements for your microscopic observation.

Key Features

  • All-in-one imaging system with 4K (8MP) camera and 13.3" screen
  • Operates with or without a computer to add digital imaging to your microscope
  • Record to USB drive or connect to a computer using USB or wi-fi
  • Same software interface as our HD200 and HD400 series cameras

The CP480 combines a 4K (8MP) camera with a 13.3” high-definition screen to create a ready-to-go digital imaging system for microscopy. Like our HD200 and HD400 series multi-function cameras, the CP480 uses comprehensive built-in software for intuitive control of camera functions for capturing and processing photos and videos. Use the included mouse to navigate on-screen controls, or pair the CP480 with a computer using USB or wi-fi to make use of the expansive imaging tools included in our desktop software.

C-Mount

The CP480 can be used with a wide range of microscopes and video lenses. Setup is simple using the standard C-mount interface which allows the CP480 to attach directly to microscopes equipped with a C-mount photo port. To attach to an ocular port, simply use an optional reduction lens such as our RU050. The CP480 is also a perfect companion for our video inspection lenses including the H800 and H756 models.

User Interface

Use the included USB mouse to navigate the on-screen controls. The user interface provides all of the necessary functions needed to capture photos and videos, as well as a range of calibration and measurement tools. Files can be saved on external USB media.

Alternatively, the CP480 can be connected to a PC using a USB or wi-fi connection. This allows you to use our more robust imaging application which expands the toolsets to include image-stitching, focus-stacking, HDR, counting tools, and more.

I/O

Multiple USB ports are available to use for external devices or connecting to a PC. An HDMI output can be used to connect to a larger monitor or television.
